On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was once again inaugurated as President of the United States. It must be made clear to the whole world that the vast majority of people in the U.S. do not support his presidency or consent to his agenda. Trump and his appointees stand in opposition to the values we embrace as residents of Hawai‘i nei. We will never support fascism and we will not sit idly by as the institutions of democracy are destroyed.
We must take to the streets and protest, blockade, disrupt, intervene, sit in, walk out, rise up, and make more noise and good trouble than the establishment can bear!
Hawaiʻi J20+ is a group that together stands for equality; social, economic, and environmental justice; sanctuary and justice for immigrants and refugees; women’s rights; reproductive rights; LGBTQIA+ rights; disability rights; freedom and independence of the press; freedom of religion and the separation of church and state; criminal justice reform, restorative justice and community response models; and the strengthening of our social safety net – all of which the President, his cabinet, and Elon Musk, his appointed wrecker-in-chief, have threatened to undermine or gut. We welcome all who wish to join us in collective action!
